Semi-private training

Semi-Private Soccer Training for 2–4 Players

Train with friends or teammates. You still get real coaching and real reps, plus someone next to you pushing the pace.

Real coaching plus a real opponent

Semi-private training is two to four players working with one coach for about an hour. Honestly, it’s one of my favourite ways to run a session.

In a private session every single rep gets corrected. In a semi-private session your player still gets plenty of individual attention, plus something a private session can’t give: a real opponent. Somebody to defend, somebody to pass to, somebody who beats you at a drill and makes you want to run it again.

Kids train harder when a friend is watching, and splitting the session makes regular training realistic for more families.

How it works

What a semi-private session looks like

Warm-up & ball mastery

About ten minutes of quick touches to get the feet going. No standing around.

Technical block

The main focus of the day, such as first touch, 1v1 moves or finishing, with lots of reps and quick feedback.

Game-speed reps

We put the skill under pressure with defenders, time limits and decisions, just like a real match.

Finish & home plan

A fun finisher, then one or two things to practise at home before next time.

  • First Touch
  • Ball Mastery
  • 1v1 Moves
  • Passing & Scanning
  • Finishing
  • Confidence

FAQ

Questions parents ask

How many players are in a semi-private session?

Two to four. That keeps the reps high and gives everyone plenty of touches and feedback.

Do the players need to be the same level?

They don’t need to be identical, but it works best when players are close in age and level. Teammates are perfect.

Can I bring my own group?

Yes. Most semi-private groups are friends or teammates who sign up together. Mention the other players in your request.

Is semi-private cheaper than private?

The cost is split across the group, so it’s lower per player. Send a request and I’ll share current rates.
